Gestational Surrogacy is a surrogate who is not genetically connected to the child she is carrying for the Intended Parents. The eggs are retrieved from the Intended Mother or an Egg Donor, are fertilized with the prospective father’s sperm or sperm donor, and then transferred to the Surrogate’s womb. By contrast, Traditional Surrogacy is a surrogate who also donates her eggs and has biological link to the child she is carrying for the Intended Parents. The surrogate undergo artificial insemination or IVF with sperm from a sperm donor. ​

The length of the process can depend on many factors. Once we have your initial consultation ready, you will be able to start viewing Surrogate profiles immediately. A match can be made when both Intended Parents has spoken to the desired Surrogate Mother and both have agreed to work together. This can be quicker as 1-2 weeks or longer depending on the legal requirements involved and the course of the IVF treatment. Sometimes, matching can occur almost instantly, though other times it can take a few months before the right people have the opportunity to meet

Surrogacy success rates are influenced by the IVF clinic you work with, the health and viability of the embryo you use and the health and fertility history of your surrogate. You can determine your chances of a successful pregnancy at the fertility center. In addition, IVF clinics have a surrogacy success rate of 75% in the U.S. most of the time, doctors will perform multiple embryo transfers until a healthy pregnancy is achieved, making the overall surrogacy success rate very high.

Surrogacy is legal in many states in the U.S, however, each state has its own legality of surrogacy agreements. For instance, some states do not recognize non-biological parents, or same-sex couples. In California, surrogacy is legal, and the state is viewed as highly “surrogacy friendly” because the process is allowed for all families, whether married, unmarried, LGBT, or single parent. However, there are many states in which the legal process is similar, or just as good, to that in California. The Surrogate Mother will give birth to your child(ren) at a hospital that is local to where she resides. This is most likely the hospital where she has given birth to her own children.

The purpose of this legal document is to allow each party to state their intentions and their responsibilities to one another. It is made to protect the rights and responsibilities of intended parents and the gestational surrogates.The agreement will clearly state that the Surrogate does not intend on parenting any resulting child(ren) and does not wish to have physical or legal custody of any resulting child(ren).
